Inter / Extra Terrestrial

The work was made in response to a week-long residency completed in early September, including a workshop with local residents, which involved the creation of a Crop Circle on Roanhead beach.

Considering links between deep time, interspecies communication and sci-fi, the artist explores in the liminal space between natural ecology (plants & animals) and built ecologies (primary industry & holiday homes).

Through conversations with local residents, the installation explores valuing, responsibility and ownership in the coastline of the Furness peninsula.
